Dogs And Cats Need Training - 907 Words

Dogs and cats need training and they provide communication and health benefits to their companions. First, cats are adaptable to their surroundings. They know how to problem solve. Training them can be difficult because of their independence and they have a hard time following through on what they are told to do. Cats are lap pets. They enjoy sitting around and snuggling up to their companions. They love playing with a ball or strings. Cats love to show that they have conquered and devoured a predator by leaving their prey on the door step. When our family owned a cat she was so special. We named her Star and her name fitted her in everything she did. Our screen door latch was broken and it would no longer lock the screen door. Star learned by herself how to jump from the chair on the porch to the latch on the door and the door would pop open and Star would walk in the house. Imagine how we felt when she first did this trick. Second, cats communicate through body language such as fearful, aggressive, and relaxed. It is during these times they are communicating their surroundings. They become fearful when they are in the presence of unfamiliar faces which cause hissing or they will arch their backs. My cat Star was a very spoiled cat and even though our dog and cat grew up together Star owned the yard by the way she walked around it and she dared Pudding to misbehave or else the claws would come out. Influence of Fast Food on Children Free Essays

â€Å"You are what you eat†, is a well known saying. Its message really means that if you eat healthy foods, you are most likely to be healthy. The good and healthy foods which include fresh fruits, green vegetables, fibre rich grains, pulses etc are considered old fashioned. We will write a custom essay sample on Influence of Fast Food on Children or any similar topic only for you Order Now Kids and teenagers today are opting for a greasy burger and a bag of fries, with a soda included to complete the meal. It is the age of fast-food. Eating fast-food means instant gratification. And eating fast-food much of the time can seriously injure the health of anybody, especially growing children and teenagers. Everywhere they are lamenting that obesity is on the rise, especially amongst children. Blame it on salt or sugar. Call it the fast-food disaster, but a meal at a fast-food restaurant could expose a child to unnaturally high levels of salt. The daily recommended dosage of salt is no more than 6gm per day for an adult and 3gm per day for a child. Studies have shown that Fast-Food meals can easily contain four times that amount of salt for a child. Moreover, these fast-food meals are extremely high in calories. Eat a small amount and you will be packing on the pounds rapidly. Besides, an excess of salt in the body can send children’s blood pressure soaring, thereby putting them at the risk of both stroke and heart disease. The consequences of bad eating are many. From skin problems to obesity, poor digestion, an inability to think clearly, a general lack of energy, constant mood swings and blood sugar inconsistencies. The excess sugar in the fast foods leads to diabetes in children. I have a personal experience related to this. One of my classmates in IV std had bad eating habits. His lunch box was almost always packed with burgers, fried chicken or French fries. Added to this he was always seen drinking colas. Due to this he was overweight and physically inactive. Unfortunately, during the same year he was diagnosed as diabetic. Doctors placed all the diet restrictions for him and medications to take for the remaining life. It was a sad thing to happen at such a young age. My advice to all of the young friends, please cultivate a habit to consume Good Food which includes fresh fruits, green vegetables, milk, fibre rich grains, pulses, fish etc to be healthy and fit. Should Students Be Allowed to Eat in Clas free essay sample

Should students be allowed to eat in the classroom? Many people say that students should be able to eat during class. We will write a custom essay sample on Should Students Be Allowed to Eat in Clas or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Unlike other people think the opposite. Let’s see why people think students should eat in class. First where going to start with the negative side. Which means the people that think it’s a bad idea. The have many reasons some are just dumb and some are very true that’s might just change your mind. They earthier think that the students will make a big mess or sometimes student have an allergic reaction or attack. Also when a kid brings food all the other students start asking for some and student start throwing it across the classroom for other kids to catch in their mouths. And it distracts kid from their learning. I know most of the kids in your class do the same. Now let’s get to the positive thing which means people who do allow kids to eat during class. When a student sees their teacher eating something or eating candy you now are thinking mmmmm those must be so really good brownies or anything but the point is that it will make the tummy go all like grrr I’m hungry me want food. Wouldn’t you want to eat when someone is eating something you desire? But wait I’m not done yet some times when a teacher is going to play a learning game the kids won’t be interested unless it’s like a pizza party or candy or something to do with eating because I bet the kids would do anything to eat something really good in class. Let’s say when a teacher says a question and she says â€Å"if you answer this question right then I will give a little snack or candy or something† and then all the kids start raising their hand and most students start participating for that one little piece of snack. If they weren’t to be allowed to eat in class then they wouldn’t be interested in anything. You really have lots to choose from. Sure if kids make a mess make a rule or call their parents and tell them they need to be more clean or you can clean it up and show the kids how much you care about the school. If they put gum underneath the desk then make them clean it, scrape it off or don’t allow gum because gum and food is not the same thing. Teachers have to choose if they don’t allow it then talk to them don’t be scared. In conclusion I think they should allow students to eat snacks in the classroom. But that is my opinion so what would you choose should students eat in class or should student should not eat in class.
